Despite a balmy 70 degrees outside on the roofdeck, the Tip was never hotter. Wild cheering, sexy dancing and not one but two encores greeted the fleet, fun and absolutely fly musicianship of The Hot Club of San Francisco, foremost US interpreters of the songs and spirit of the great “gypsy-jazz” guitarist, composer and bandleader Django Reinhardt. The third edition of Duncan/Channon’s Jazz from the Tip series is now inscribed in the unbelievable history of San Franciso’s preeminent penthouse speakeasy and a whole lot of embarassing photos and video starring none other than you. It will be tough to top this one, but that doesn’t mean the Tip won’t stop trying.
